OUR STORY
In 2015, Priscilla Hunt and the Hunt family donated a considerable sum of money to build The Crescendo Music and Dance Academy and Hunt Recording Studio. Priscilla, who has recorded albums as a singer, loves creating music with live musicians and had a vision to share those experiences with the next generation of musicians and singers.
The Salvation Army, Crescendo Music and Dance Academy and DBMIX teamed up to see that vision become a reality. The Crescendo Music and Dance Academy offers affordable music lessons as an after-school program for the youth of the community. Hunt Recording Studio works in conjunction with Crescendo Music and Dance Academy giving kids opportunities to record their music and learn about the recording process.
Proceeds from commercial recording sessions at Hunt Recording Studio cover operating costs as well as help fund community programs such as “Share Your Voice”. Crescendo and HRS operate as a non-profit organization under the ownership of The Salvation Army. This is truly a unique situation. World Class facilities, World Class Team, World Class experiences for Music Pros and Students alike.

The Salvation Army, Crescendo Music and Dance Academy and DBMIX are committed to creating great music and sound, providing memorable experiences, and providing great service to World Class Musicians, Composers and Artists as well as Kids who are picking up an instrument for the first time. We believe that one of God’s greatest gifts to us is music, dance and art. What better way to say thank you than to teach, mentor, inspire the next generation of musicians, artists, composers, dancers, singers and artists.
THE TEAM
DBMIX Productions calls Hunt Recording Studios it’s home base. We produce, engineer and service all recording sessions done at HRS. Grammy Award Winning Engineer / Producer and Co-Designer of HRS, Dan Blessinger mans the controls for each session, along with a fantastic team of engineers, technicians with an impressive wealth of experience. This is truly a World Class Team.

Dan Blessinger is a more than 30 year veteran of the sound and music business. Dan is a Grammy Award Winning Engineer, Mixer, Sound Designer, Producer, Consultant, Composer and Studio Designer. Dan loves working with creative people who appreciate great sound.

Michael "Michi" Engesser is a composer, audio engineer and music technologist. His passions lie in writing and producing music, doing sound post-production for films and games as well as creating and designing music production systems and virtual instruments.
